Brazilian Blowout Near Back Bay, Boston | Brazilian Blowout Boston
Brazilian Blowout Specialist Serving Back Bay Clients
Back Bay is one of Boston's most polished neighborhoods, and the people who live and work there expect a certain standard. When it comes to Brazilian Blowouts, I believe I meet that standard better than anyone in the metro area. My name is Franny Flynn. I run a private, one-on-one salon at 147 Beach Street in Quincy, and Brazilian Blowout smoothing treatments are all I do. I've been doing smoothing work since 2009, went exclusive with Brazilian Blowout in 2016, and have completed over 10,000 treatments.
From Back Bay, my salon is about 20 to 30 minutes south. Several of my regular clients come from your neighborhood, and they tell me the same thing: Back Bay has incredible salons, but nobody there is doing what I'm doing. Nobody has committed their entire practice to a single treatment with this kind of focus and volume.
Why Back Bay Residents Choose Brazilian Blowout Boston
Back Bay professionals tend to be busy. You need hair that works for you without a lot of daily fuss. A Brazilian Blowout is one of the most effective ways to achieve that. It reduces frizz, adds shine, and cuts your styling time significantly. Many of my Back Bay clients tell me their morning routine went from 45 minutes to 15 minutes after their first treatment.
But the quality of the result depends heavily on who's doing the work. This is a treatment where technique matters as much as the product. I've built my entire career around perfecting that technique. When your stylist does a few Brazilian Blowouts per month alongside a full book of other services, the level of refinement simply isn't the same as someone who has done 10,000 of them and nothing else.
I also want to address something I hear often from new clients: they expected straight hair. A Brazilian Blowout is a smoothing treatment. It's not designed to make curly hair straight. It smooths the cuticle, blocks humidity, and reduces frizz dramatically. The result varies based on your natural texture. I always walk through expectations during the consultation so there are no surprises.
What Makes Us Different
100% Brazilian Blowout Focus
I don't offer haircuts. I don't do color. My entire practice is built around one treatment. This means every skill I develop, every technique I refine, and every observation I make feeds directly into better Brazilian Blowout results. It's a level of focus that doesn't exist at traditional salons. Learn more on my Brazilian Blowout page.
Private, Appointment-Only Studio
No walk-ins. No double-booking. No background noise. When you book with me, the entire salon is yours. For Back Bay clients who value discretion and personal attention, this is a significant upgrade over sitting in a busy salon floor. My chair is your chair for the full duration of your appointment.
Professional Ventilation Standards
Chemical smoothing treatments require proper air handling. My salon is equipped with professional-grade ventilation and filtration systems. I've made this investment because I work in this space every day and because my clients deserve a comfortable, clean-air environment.
Documented Results
I don't ask you to trust marketing copy. I ask you to look at the work. My before and after gallery features real clients across every hair type and texture. The results are consistent because the technique is consistent.
Services & Pricing
Pricing is based on hair length and density. Every appointment starts with a consultation where I assess your hair and discuss your goals. You'll know exactly what to expect in terms of results, timing, and cost before I start. Full details are available on the pricing and appointment length page.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why leave Back Bay when there are premium salons on Newbury Street?
Newbury Street salons are excellent at what they do. But offering Brazilian Blowouts as one of 20 services is very different from building your entire practice around it. My 10,000+ treatment count and exclusive focus mean I've developed techniques and knowledge that a generalist stylist simply hasn't had the opportunity to develop. The 20-minute drive is a small investment for a significantly better result.
How does a Brazilian Blowout help with New England humidity?
The treatment creates a protective coating on each hair strand that blocks humidity from penetrating the cuticle. This is exactly what causes frizz, especially during Boston's summer months. Your hair stays smooth regardless of the weather, which is why late spring and summer are my busiest seasons.
How long does the treatment take?
Most appointments are 2 to 3 hours. I know that sounds like a lot for a busy schedule, but the time investment pays off every single morning for the next 10 to 12 weeks when your hair practically styles itself. Check appointment lengths here.
Can I go back to work the same day?
Absolutely. Your hair will look finished and styled when you leave my chair. There's no waiting period, no awkward transition phase. Many of my clients book morning appointments and head straight to the office afterward.
Is this safe for highlighted or balayage hair?
Yes. The treatment works beautifully on highlighted hair. In fact, it can help seal in color and reduce the dryness that sometimes comes with lightening. I recommend doing color work before your Brazilian Blowout for the best results.
What aftercare products do you recommend?
Sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner are essential. Sulfates strip the treatment prematurely. I'll recommend specific products based on your hair type during your appointment. It's a small change in your routine that makes a big difference in longevity.
How often do most clients come back?
Every 10 to 12 weeks is typical. Some clients come more frequently, some stretch it a bit longer. I'll help you find the right cadence for your hair.
