Getting Here from Brookline

From Brookline, the drive to Quincy takes about 20 to 25 minutes. The easiest route is to take the Jamaicaway or Riverway to Route 93 South, then take the exit for Quincy and head to Beach Street. If you are coming from Coolidge Corner or Brookline Village, you can also take Beacon Street to the Pike and connect to 93 South. There is free parking at the salon, which I know is a welcome change from the Brookline parking situation.

Is this the same as a keratin treatment?

No. Brazilian Blowout is a specific brand with its own proprietary formula and process. It differs from generic keratin treatments in several ways, including the fact that there is zero downtime. You can wash and style your hair immediately after the treatment.

Will it make my hair pin-straight?

Not necessarily. This is a smoothing treatment that dramatically reduces frizz and cuts styling time. If you have naturally wavy or curly hair, you will still have some natural movement, but it will be smooth and controlled rather than frizzy and unpredictable. I set honest expectations before every treatment.

How often should I get a treatment?

Most clients come in every 10 to 14 weeks. Some stretch it longer, some prefer to come a bit sooner. It depends on your hair and your tolerance for the gradual return of frizz as the treatment wears off.
