Getting Here from Wellesley

There are a couple of good routes from Wellesley to Quincy. The most direct is to take Route 9 East to I-93 South, then exit toward Quincy Center. Alternatively, you can take Route 16 to I-93. Both routes get you there in 35 to 45 minutes in normal traffic. My salon at 147 Beach Street has on-site parking. If you prefer to avoid highway driving, surface routes through Brookline and Dorchester are also an option, though they take a bit longer.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is this different from the smoothing treatments offered at Wellesley salons?

The product may be the same, but the application is everything. A stylist who does 5 Brazilian Blowouts a month versus someone who does them all day, every day for over a decade will produce very different results. The sectioning, the product distribution, the iron temperature, the timing. All of these variables are where experience shows.

Will it work on my naturally curly hair?

Yes, but I want to be upfront about what "work" means. A Brazilian Blowout will not make tightly curly hair straight. It will loosen your curl pattern, reduce frizz significantly, and make your hair much easier to manage. Many curly-haired clients find they can air-dry for the first time without their hair turning into a frizz ball. That's a life-changing result even without full straightening.

How long do results last?

Typically 10 to 12 weeks. Some clients with coarser hair may start noticing frizz returning around week 8, while others with finer hair can stretch it to 14 weeks or more. Using sulfate-free products at home is the most important thing you can do to extend your results.

Is the treatment customizable?

Very much so. I can make it smoother or leave more natural movement, depending on your preference. This is one of the strengths of the Brazilian Blowout system and a major reason I chose to specialize in it.

Do I need to do anything special before my appointment?

Come with clean hair. Skip heavy conditioners, leave-ins, and oils on the day of your appointment. That's really it. I handle everything else.

Can I work out and wash my hair the same day?

Yes. There's zero downtime with a Brazilian Blowout. You can wash, style, tie up, and sweat the same day. Older smoothing systems had 72-hour wait periods. This doesn't.

What's your cancellation policy?

I ask for at least 24 hours notice if you need to reschedule. Since I'm a solo practitioner, a last-minute cancellation means an empty chair for 2 to 3 hours. I appreciate the consideration.
